Obituary
GOSHEN — Ronald E. Wood, 70, of Goshen, passed away Sunday morning, Feb. 22, at Elkhart General Hospital.
Ronald was born Oct. 17, 1944, in Kewanna, to Lewis and Louise (Hendrickson) Wood.
He married the former Phyllis A. Smith on May 20, 1967.
Surviving are his wife of 47 years, Phyllis of Goshen; his son, Michael (Wendy) Wood of Elkhart; and a grandson, Sean Wood at home.
Ronald was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Barbara Elder.
Ronald graduated from North Judson High School in 1962. He worked as a salesman for most of his life, starting in food marketing before spending many years in the local RV and trailer manufacturing supply industry, most recently with Americana Tire.
Ronald enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson Road King motorcycle and working in his yard. He was always ready to give a helping hand to his neighbors or anyone in need.
Funeral services celebrating Ronald's life will begin at 1 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 28, at Billings Funeral Home, where friends may call two hours prior to the service. Pastor Mike Stadelmayer of Adamsville Road Church of God will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow in Little Pine Cemetery in Goshen.
