ELKHART — Mr. Ronald L. "Ron" Teague, 75, of Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, Sept. 2, at Elkhart General Hospital following a brief illness.
He was born July 29, 1940, in Denver, Colo., to the late Kenneth and Ruby (Wilkerson) Teague, and married Toka G. Smead in 1957. She preceded him in death, along with sons Scott and Ronald Teague Jr.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Jeffrey) Klopenstein of Edwardsburg, Mich.; son Randy (Lori) Teague of Elkhart; brother Kenny Teague of Edwardsburg; 10 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be at Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart, with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, followed by a 1 p.m. funeral.
Burial will follow in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
Ron worked in the local RV industry as a welder nearly all of his adult life. He also owned and operated several area welding businesses, including Ron's Welding and T-N-T Fabrications of Elkhart.
He was a car and Corvette enthusiast and enjoyed using his talent in welding and metal fabrication to build things for his family.
