Obituary
ELKHART — Ronald David Gruetzmacher, 64, of Elkhart, passed away in the emergency department of Elkhart General Hospital at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2011, after an apparent heart attack.
He was born in Elkhart on May 30, 1947, to the late Larry and Elsie Gruetzmacher.
Surviving are a daughter, Anita (Joseph "Andy") Stimac of Elkhart; a son, Robert Gruetzmacher of Marble Falls, Texas; three sisters, Annette L. Payne of Kokomo, Karla Ralston of Texas and Betty Kirkham of Elkhart; two brothers, Pat Patterson of Amarillo, Texas, and Edward Hurst of Michigan City; and four grandchildren.
A memorial Mass has been planned for Thursday, Dec. 15, 2011, at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Elkhart with Father Glenn Kohrman officiating. Cremation has taken place. Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting the family with arrangements.
Ronald was a delivery driver for Allen's Dairy and Yoder Oil, both in Elkhart, for many years and was a veteran of the U.S. Army.
