IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Ron
Rudin
November 5, 1937 – April 16, 2023
Ron Rudin, 85, was eternally promoted on Sunday, April 16, 2023. He was embraced by family as he was peacefully reunited with his wife.
Born in Chicago to Alice and Erling, Ron grew up with his 3 siblings: Ruth (Molnar), Karen (Lambe) and Betty† (Poellien). He enjoyed the ski club (iBex), his mothers cooking and pairs figure skating, where he achieved semi-pro status.
Ron spent nearly 45 years living in the Elkhart area and could be frequently found organizing the Manor Avenue block party, "Grinching' 'through the neighborhood at Christmas or scaring the neighborhood kids at Halloween with his over-the-top costumes and decorations. Ron loved the outdoors and enjoyed gardening in his yard or volunteering at Wellfield Gardens. He had a passion for singing in his church choir and the Men's Schola. In his earlier years, Ron enjoyed participating in community theater. He was a tutor for the local school district in Elkhart and was an active member of St. Thomas church for the last 31 years.
Ron was preceded by his wife of 51 years, Maryanne (Konicek) and is survived by his children Eric (Angela), Megan Melton (Matthew) and Adam (Lucy).
