Robin Elizabeth Rader, 70, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at her home.
Robin was born on October 4, 1955 in Denver, CO to the late, Edgar and Phyllis (Clark) Piper. She married Daren J. Rader on November 15, 1974 in Goshen, IN. He passed away on October 6, 2022.
Robin is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Daren and twin granddaughters, Stephanie and Austin on December 17, 1990.
Robin is survived by her daughters, Erika Sweet of Elkhart and Kerri Simpson of Scott, OH; grandchildren, Tyler (Jen) Warman, Trenton Simpson, Emily Oblinger, Chandler Oblinger and Jyllian Simpson; 9 great grandchildren; brother, Joe Piper and sisters, Jane (Tom) Davis and Rebecca Piper.
Robin retired from Triangle Rubber and also worked at Interra Credit Union, as well as Pete’s and Judy’s Burger Dairy on Six Span Bridge. Her greatest and most cherished role in life was being a devoted mother.
Robin had a deep love for animals, especially her beloved dog, Toby.
In her free time, she enjoyed reading, watching movies, and attending concerts. While she often joked that cooking was not her strength, she was a talented baker, known for her delicious Coca Cola Cake and apple crisps. Robin enjoyed getting pedicures with her daughter, Erika and together had fun on a daily basis.
Robin was known for her humor and her ability to bring joy to those around her. Her infectious laugh could light up a room and was shared by many who knew her. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who made a lasting impact on the lives of others.
There will be a celebration of life for Robin at a later date.
