ELKHART -- Roberta Faye Roxy, 86, of Elkhart, died Sunday (Feb. 6, 2011) at home.
She was born Sept. 21, 1924, in Blaze, Ky., to Tildon A. and Josie (Salyers) Brown.
Survivors include a daughter, Barb Longacre and her fiancé, Joe Uthe, both of Elkhart; three sons, Larry Roxy of Bradenton, Fla., Jim Roxy of Chicago and John Roxy of South Bend; four grandchildren, Chris, Nick, Brittany and Brian Longacre; and four great-grandchildren, Brieanna, Lexi, Hanna and Connor Longacre. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Emerson Brown.
Roberta was the owner of Beauty Boutique for 25 years and prior to retirement she had worked for Olan Mills for 15 years.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. memorial service Tuesday, Feb. 15, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Memorial contributions may be given to the Roberta F. Roxy Memorial Fund c/o Billings Funeral Home.
