Roberta Jean Campbell, 73, of Elkhart, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2022, at her residence.  She was born on April 5, 1949, in St. Mary, Illinois to the late Robert and Lindy (Sorrell) Lambert.

Roberta is survived by her loving husband of 13 years, Jerry Campbell; children, Teresa (Troy) Roose and David (Melony) Anderson; stepdaughters, Joetta Martin and Valerie (Roger) Campbell; 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; and siblings, Danny (Sheryl) Lambert, Robert (Sandy) Lambert, and Loretta (Lewis) Sprouse. Roberta is preceded in death by her parents and a stepson, Jerry Campbell, Jr.

In accordance with Roberta's wishes, cremation has been chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St, Elkhart. A private family celebration of life will take place at a later date. The family kindly requests that memorial donations be made out to the American Cancer Society, Great Lakes Division, Northwest Indiana Office, 130 Red Coach Dr, Mishawaka, IN 46545, or to Roberta's family to alleviate funeral expenses.

Roberta will be remembered as being an easy-going lady who enjoyed a simple life. She was also known for her quick sense of wit and humor. Roberta worked for Wieland Design as a seamstress and was a part of the Goshen DAV #15. On July 1, 2009, she married the love of her life, Jerry Campbell. During her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her yard by raking up fallen leaves, going out to fish with Jerry, or having barbecues with her family and friends. Roberta also loved creating puzzles and spending time playing games on the computer. Most of all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Roberta will be dearly missed by those whose hearts she touched.
