Robert Hugh Watson, 65, of Elkhart passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025 at his residence.

Robert was born on September 26, 1959 in Caruthersville, MO to the late Jimmy T. Watson Sr. and Fannie Mae (Lee) Watson.

He is preceded in death by his daughter, Tyisha Nicole Taylor and his brother, Jimmy Watson, Jr.

Robert is survived by his daughters, Tyronza Taylor (Derek), Tyisha Taylor, Deborah Taylor and Robin Watson; brothers and sisters, Rev. Jerry Watson, Dewayne (Davetta) Watson, Ray Watson, Paul Watson and James (Terri) Watson; Abelyn Suggs, Kathy (John) Tucker and Shirley (Frank) Edwards.

Robert graduated from Elkhart High School in 1977. He retired from Mobil Home Industries in the petroleum field.

Robert was a member Church of God and Christ.

In his early years, Robert enjoyed fishing and watching and playing basketball.

Robert was an outgoing, friendly man and always had a smile on his face.

Family was the most important part of his life. Whether it was travelling to Mt. Vernon to see his family or spending time with the grandkids, his family was everything.

A Homegoing Service will be held at 12:00pm, Saturday, June 7, 2025 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514 with Rev. Jerry Watson officiating.

Visitation will be 1 hour prior to the start of the services from 11:00am to 12:00pm.

Commital Service will follow at Little Pine Cemetery in Elkhart.
