Robert "Bob" H. Schumacher, Jr., 68, of Elkhart, passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at Courtyard Healthcare of Goshen.

Bob was born on November 7, 1952 to Robert H. Schumacher, Sr. and Phyllis (High) Fansler in Elkhart, IN.

Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert Schumacher, Sr. and stepmother, Lois.

Survivors of Bob include his mother, Phyllis (High) Fansler of Elkhart; brothers, Larry (Peggy) Schumacher of Elkhart; Edward Schumacher, Phillip (Donna) Schumacher and Jeff Schumacher of Elkhart; Uncle, James Helbling of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.

Bob was a professional chef with several local Elkhart restaurants. He was known for his world famous "Clam Chowder". Bob had recently accepted Christ as His Lord and Savior. Bob was an avid fan of the Chicago Bears and I.U. Basketball. He was also very patriotic and loved his country.

A Visitation for Bob will be on Thursday, September 9, 2021 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.

A Funeral Service will be on Friday, September 10, 2021 at 1:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will follow the service at Rice Cemetery.
