He was born April 7, 1931, in Mishawaka to Howard and Ruth (Rollen) Moore Sr. He married Dorothy L. Weber in 1985. She died March 15, 2006, in Elkhart.

He is survived by four sons, Troy (Cheryl) Moore of Florissant, Mo., Tracey Moore of Iowa, Todd Moore of Three Rivers, Mich., and T.J. Moore of Coldwater, Mich.; one daughter, Melissa Moore of Michigan; more than 20 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and one sister, Betty Lee Whipple of Florida.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Howard Moore Jr.; and two sisters, Josephine Becker and Millie Claphand.

A memorial service will take place at noon today at Harvest Rock Church, 54820 C.R. 1, with the Rev. Gary Ketcham officiating. Cremation will take place.

Mr. Moore was self-employed as an independent truck driver. He was a member of the Bristol American Legion. He enjoyed traveling and playing the guitar, harmonica and organ. He also enjoyed building things and making people happy.

Mr. Moore was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Memorials may be given to the American Lung Association.
