GRANGER — Robert Francis "Bob" Dralle, 78, of Granger, passed away Friday, Dec. 6, 2013, at Golden Living Center in Elkhart.
He was born Jan. 30, 1935, in Aberdeen, S.D., to Floyd E. and Alice J. (Syverud) Dralle.
On Dec. 26, 1957, he married his wife of 55 years, Joyce M. (Cowdrey) Dralle.
In addition to his wife, survivors include two sons, Stephen Dralle of Toluca, Ill., and Shaun Dralle of Osceola; two sisters, Onalee Brand of Fort Myers, Fla., and Linda (Jon) Boone of Eagle River, Alaska; four granddaughters; three grandsons; and nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, Lawrence Dralle, and one sister, Phyllis Dralle.
He served in the U.S. Air Force from 1953 until 1957. Bob was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose Lodge 599, AARP Elkhart Chapter, the Friendly Pioneers and Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ in Osceola. Bob worked as a minister for 20 years and most recently worked as a substance abuse therapist.
The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the 11 a.m. celebration of life service Friday, Dec. 13, 2013, at Pleasant Valley United Church of Christ, 10955 Edison Road, Osceola. Pastor Gail Miller-McKee will officiate. Inurnment of his cremated remains will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery Veteran's Tower in Elkhart. Military graveside honors will be rendered by the U.S. Air Force and DAV Chapter 19.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
