ELKHART — Robert L. "RC" Cox, 43, of Elkhart, passed away at his home on Thursday, Sept. 22, 2011.
He was born Dec. 16, 1967, in South Bend to Dennis Cox and Linda (Priebe) Cox-Kreps.
On December 6, 2003, he married Rhonda S. (Warren) Cox in South Bend.
In addition to his loving wife, other survivors include three sons, Christopher (Christine) Leonard of Elkhart, Jestin Leonard of Granger and Robert S. Cox of Kokomo; four daughters, Ashlee Cox of Kokomo, Hollie Cox of South Bend, and Stephanie and Kelsey Brewer, both of Elkhart; two brothers, Dennis (Corina) Cox of Mishawaka and William (Cathy) Cox of North Carolina; four sisters, Lorea Peppers of LaOtto, and Jessica (Chris) Kendziorski, Regina Cox and Rachel Cox, all of Searcy, Ark.; and two grandchildren, Joseph Cox and Melody Pelikan, both of Elkhart.
RC was employed as a professional truck driver and as a diesel technician for several years. He was a member of Mountain Top Community Church, the Christian Motorcyclists Association and was an instrumental part of God's Kitchen at Guidance Ministries.
A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 1, 2011, at Mountain Top Community Church, 216 N. Second St., Elkhart. Pastor Frank King will officiate.
