Obituary
ELKHART — Robert C. Coggains Sr., 76, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, May 18, at Golden Living Center.
He was born June 10, 1938, in Marston, Mo., to the late Robert and Irene (Taylor) Coggains.
In addition to his parents, a sister, Nadean Lane; and a brother, Ossie Coggains, preceded him in death.
Surviving are a son, Robert C. (Sasha Wentland) Coggains III of Elkhart; daughters Kowana Evette (Cheikh) Ndaiye of Chicago and Tasha Sharmaine Coggains of Elkhart; eight grandchildren; and a sister, Christine Branch of Elkhart. Also surviving are a host of cousins, nieces and nephews, the Branch, Lanes, Coggains and Griffins families.
Robert worked in construction for most of his life and spent many years with H & H Homes. He was a U.S. Army veteran. Robert loved to tell stories and enjoyed watching sports and old Westerns on TV.
Cremation has taken place.
Billings Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
