Robert J. Bailey Sr., 77, of Elkhart and formerly of White Pigeon, MI., passed away Monday afternoon, January 13, 2020 in Elkhart. Robert was born on June 22, 1942 in St. Louis to James Herbert and Lillian Clara (Peglar) Bailey. Surviving is a daughter Pamela (Ralph) Johns; son Robert J. (Mandy) Bailey Jr.; 5 grandchildren; James (Ashley) Scarcella, Justin Scarcella, Jennifer (Paul) Provost, Hunter Bailey and Gracie Bailey; also surviving are many great grandchildren, including a special grandson Dayton Waterman and his sister Elaine (Michael) Sharamitaro. He was preceded in death by his parents and wife Ann Bailey.

Robert worked in sales selling industrial equipment for most of his career, working at Sullair for many years prior to retiring. Robert liked to collect guns and tools and in his younger days he enjoyed hunting and fishing with his father.

Per his wishes, no visitation or services are scheduled, cremation was chosen. Robert will be laid to rest with family in Missouri. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home and Altera Cremation Services of Elkhart.
