Robert A. "Bob" Tucek, 75, residing in Elkhart, passed away Saturday, August 8, 2020 at the Center for Hospice, Elkhart Campus. Bob was born on August 14, 1944 in Allegan, Michigan to the late Herbert and Irene Tucek. He married Brigitte C. Skelton on May 4, 1979; she passed away on June 14, 2017. Surviving are 5 children; Ron (Pam) Skelton, Kellie (Steven James) Boers, Jenny (Dave) Charlton, Christine (Mike) Baldwin, Dena (Jeff) Wider; 17 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; also surviving are two sisters, JoAnn (Hank) VanKlaveren and Dolores (Fred) Foster. In addition to his parents and wife Brigitte, a brother Richard "Dick" Tucek and sister Gerry Klintworth preceded him in death. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War from March 1968 until his honorable discharge in December of 1969.

Bob worked as a self-employed general contractor in the construction trade for most of his life.  He was a member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church and the German Club when they lived in New Mexico. Bob enjoyed his koi pond, going to estate sales and collecting many different things.

In honoring Bob's wishes, cremation was chosen. Private family services will be held at a later date at Rice Cemetery in the Devotion Tower, with military honors by the United States Army Funeral Honor Guard and DAV Chapter #19. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
