BRISTOL — Robert D. A. "Doug" Holland, 46, of Bristol, passed away peacefully at Goshen Hospital Friday, Dec. 22, 2017, following an extended illness.

He was born April 25, 1971, in Cincinnati, Ohio, to Mrs. Christine A. Rice, who survives in Bristol along with her husband, Frank.

Also surviving are siblings Jason (Amanda) Holland, Matthew (Jamie) Holland and Michelle Rice, as well a host of loving nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will take place at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at the Grace Point Apostolic Church, 54662 Ash Road, Osceola.

Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart has been assisting with cremation arrangements.

Doug was very mechanically inclined, and loved to work on cars and motorcycles.

He deeply loved his nieces and nephews and was also a staunch advocate of children and donated regularly to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105, where friends may donate as well in lieu of flowers.
