Elkhart, IN
Robby Lynn Peters, 55, of Elkhart, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2026 at Elkhart General Hospital.
Robby was born on July 28, 1970 in South Bend Osteopathic Hospital to Stewart “Stu” Gene Peters and Theresa “Terri” Kay (Hawkins) Peters.
He is preceded in death by his father, Stewart G. Peters on May 3, 2020, and nephew Jaxcin E. Williams on May 16, 2018.
Robby is survived by his mother, Theresa “Terri” Peters of Elkhart; children Alex Peters (his mother Tammy Whitaker) and Parker Lynn Peters (his mother Leslie Peters), all from Elkhart, IN; sisters, Patricia “Tricia” (Shane) Daniels (her son Stewart) and Tabatha “Beth” (Eric) Williams (their children Brandon (Alexis) Hiland, Carter (Alivia) Pethick, Lexiea Pethick, Kahylie Pethick, Jyliah Pethick, Iliviah Pethick, Hadlie Pethick, Skaicin Williams, and Allyson Willams) all of Edwardsburg, MI; His significant other, Lisa Steele Koebel (her children Kelsey (Dan) Sacha and Cody Koebel), all from Elkhart, IN; beloved grandchildren, Leighton Lynn Peters, Everleigh Rose Peters, Ava Lou Sacha, Declan James Sacha, and Wren Sloan Sacha; many Uncles, Aunts, Cousins, Nieces and Nephews, his band family and close friends who will forever cherish the time spent with Robby.
Robby was an incredibly talented drummer. You could see and feel the intensity, the passion, and the love for music and drumming every time he played. Robby played with several bands when he first started his musical career. Author Unknown, Running with Scissors, and Society’s Child to name a few. He was the founding member of the band Blammo and created a band that played together not only as musicians for 26 years, but as brothers. He was so proud of the accomplishments that they made over the years entertaining and bringing people together through music. It was one of his greatest accomplishments. His presence on and off the stage left an indelible mark on the community and his fellow musicians.
When Robby wasn’t drumming, he could be often found in the kitchen, as he was an excellent cook. He loved nothing more than sharing his culinary creations with family and friends, and his favorites to create were molten lava cake and crème brulee. Robby possessed a legendary sweet tooth, particularly for Reese’s, Oreo’s and Chocolate Chip cookies washing it all down with a Mountain Dew. Robby also loved exploring the world, traveling, cruises, and spending time outdoors. He was always down for an adventure that almost always had something occur that made it a memorable one.
In the public persona, he was Robby Peters, the drummer for Blammo, but privately Robby was a very quiet person. Robby was kind and patient and had a HUGE heart. He gave the best hugs, would quite literally give the shirt off his own back to anyone that needed it, he would help anyone that asked for help, and always seemed to find the people that did. He knew no stranger when it came to kindness and empathy.
Robby was fiercely dedicated to his loved ones. He was a deeply caring son, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and loyal friend to many. His humor, laughter, his drumming, will be profoundly missed by all who knew him and had the privilege to hear him play.
Robby’s final gift to the world was the donation of his organs, a selfless act that will give others life. His rhythm will live on in those he saved.
