BRISTOL — Mr. Ricky Lee Hawkins, 60, of Bristol, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2013, at Elkhart General Hospital.
He was born Feb. 19, 1953, in Elkhart to the late Charles B. and Margaret E. (Hatton) Hawkins. On July 23, 1988, he married Alice M. Shelly in Elkhart. She survives at home.
Also surviving are a daughter, Lisa Hawkins of Elkhart; stepdaughter Kelly (Jeff) Middleditch of Goshen; stepson Jay Fielder of Bristol; brother Charles (Patricia) Hawkins of Edwardsburg, Mich.; sister Judy (Ralph) White of Elkhart; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sandra Gaines, and a son, Ricky L. Hawkins Jr.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Nov. 4, 2013, and one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service Tuesday, Nov. 5, 2013, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate, with burial following the services at Prairie Street Cemetery in Elkhart.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be given in Ricky's memory to the family in care of his wife, Alice.
