ELKHART — Rickey Allen Phillips, 56, of Elkhart, passed away Monday, Aug. 21, 2017, after a hard battle with cancer.

Rickey was born, in Huntington, Oct. 18, 1960, to the late Earl and Carol Phillips.

Rickey enjoyed working on cars and tinkering with anything that had a motor. He enjoyed riding motorcycles and four wheelers.

Rickey is survived by his sons, Gabriel Bennett and Rick Harris and his partner for 16 years Nancy Shannon; four grandchildren; and his dogs Shale, Sierra, Zoe and Cody.

Rickey was preceded in death by his brothers, Paul and David Phillips, and his dog, Buster.

Friends may visit with family from 5-7 p.m. Friday, Aug. 25, with a celebration of life conducted at 7 p.m. at Billings Funeral home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart.
