GOSHEN -- Rick Alan Miller, 43, of 33 Greenway Drive, died at 2:01 p.m. Tuesday (July 18, 2006) in the emergency room of Sturgis Hospital after a sudden illness.
He was born Nov. 23, 1962, in Elkhart to A.J. and Verda (Weaver) Miller. He married Deanna M. "Dee" Irizarry on June 15, 2000, in Elkhart.
She survives, along with one son, William C. Irizarry of Goshen; one brother, Terry (Shelly) Miller of Goshen; his mother, Verda of Elkhart; and his father, A.J. (Jackie) Miller of Goshen.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, and one hour prior to the 11 a.m. Friday funeral service at New Life Christian Center, 15685 S.R. 120, Bristol. The Rev. Dwight Gosser and Pastor Don Martin will officiate. Burial will follow in Little Pine Cemetery, Bristol.
Mr. Miller had worked since the age of 10 for his father at A.J. Floor Covering. He did service and repair work for the RV and manufactured housing industries. He was a 1981 graduate of Memorial High School, Elkhart, and attended Butler University in Indianapolis.
Mr. Miller was an avid bass fisherman and was a fan of the Chicago White Sox, Bulls and Bears. He also enjoyed playing poker with his friends, son and nephews.
