He was born Jan. 22, 1960, in Lowell, Mass., to Richard Dean Sr. and Helen (Kenney) Williams. On April 26, 1986, he married Tina Renee England in Elkhart.
She survives along with one son, William A. Wolf of Indianapolis; two daughters, Sally Jean (Travis) Moser of Kansas and Loretta R. (James) Frink of Elkhart; two grandchildren; 13 brothers, Pete Williams, Paul Williams, Max Wirebough, Rick Cram and Ron Willard, all of Grand Rapids, Mich., Richard Dean Williams II, Antonio "Butch" and David Gouviar, all of Boston, Byron, Ed and Dan Beck, all of Baldwin, Mich., Terry Sanders of Elkhart and Grady "Bud" Sanders of Tennessee; and six sisters, Kathy Williams of Florida, Sandra (James) Manges of Surprise, Ariz., Helen (Joseph) Lewandowski of Elkhart, and Mary Lou, Margret and Anna Gouviar, all of Boston.
He was preceded in death by one son, Richard Williams IV; his parents; and one sister, Debra Williams.
A memorial service will be at 7 p.m. Wednesday at the clubhouse at Four Season Mobile Home Court, 1350 C.R. 3, Elkhart. A meal will follow the service. The Rev. David Stockley of Life Tabernacle Church will officiate. Cremation has taken place with Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Williams worked as a welder for 32 years, most recently at Forest River. He loved to tinker with cars and ran race car 711 at New Paris Speedway for the past seven years. He was an avid NASCAR fan, with Dale Earnhardt Jr. his favorite driver.
