Richard Lee Spesshardt, 90, of Edwardsburg, MI passed away on Tuesday, June 16, 2026 at his home.

Richard was born on August 30, 1935 in Elkhart, IN to the late, Earl and Pearl (Hafer) Spesshardt. His wife, Virginia (Davis) Spesshardt whom survives after 47 years of marriage.

He leaves behind a family that he dearly loved and cared for.

Richard grew up on the lakes in Edwardsburg, MI. He honorably served his country in the U.S. Marine Corp. Richard was a skilled tool and die maker at CTS for over 40 years. He was UAW president at the local chapter in Indiana.

Richard was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, mushroom hunting and taxidermy in his spare time.

Richard was a loveable man and he will be greatly missed.

There will be no services at this time.
