Obituary
ELKHART — Richard H. "Dick" Coppler Jr., 63, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, May 7, 2013, in his residence.
He was born Aug. 29, 1949, in Elkhart to Richard Harold and Virgie Colleen (Staub) Coppler.
In addition to his mother, other survivors include a son, Jonathan Coppler of Conroe, Texas; brother Rictor James (Catherine) Coppler of Cape Coral, Fla.; and one grandson.
He was preceded in death by his father in November 2012.
Dick attended Concord High School and later served in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was an avid reader and enjoyed watching NASCAR on television.
Cremation will take place at Altera Cremation Services. Graveside services and burial of his cremated remains will take place at 11 a.m. Tuesday, May 14, 2013, in Prairie Street Cemetery. Pastor Gary Sheets will officiate.
Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, is entrusted with arrangements.
