Obituary
ELKHART — Richard Bernard Green, 79, of Elkhart, passed away at Elkhart General Hospital after a sudden illness at 6:19 a.m. Saturday, July 27, 2013.
He was born in Chicago on Dec. 29, 1933.
He was preceded in death by a wife, Kathleen, and a brother, Ernest.
Although no survivors have been found for Mr. Green, he does leave behind many friends from the residents and staff of the Woodland Manor Healthcare Facility in Elkhart, where he lived since 1998.
Mr. Green was formerly a police officer and had served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Because of this, the staff at Billings Funeral Home and Billings Veteran's Funeral Care have arranged for Mr. Green to be interred at Marion National Cemetery in Marion; burial will take place there Thursday, Aug. 1.
