Obituary
ELKHART — Richard A. George, 90, of Elkhart, passed away at 1:15 p.m. Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Golden Living Center, Elkhart.
He was born on Jan. 19, 1922, in Nappanee.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Alma.
Surviving are his close friends and caregivers from Golden Living Center and Real Services in South Bend.
He served in the U.S. Navy from Sept. 22, 1942, until his honorable discharge on Jan. 11, 1943.
Services for Richard will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 12, 2012, in the Veterans Section of Prairie Street Cemetery with military honors by the U.S. Navy Honor Guard.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Altera Cremation Services and Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.
