ELKHART -- Richard Wayne Estes Jr., 65, of Elkhart, died at 9:37 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 22, 2009) in Elkhart General Hospital.

He was born Aug. 20, 1943, in Elkhart to Richard W. Sr. and Delores (Replogle) Estes. On Oct. 5, 1963, he married Sue L. Waggoner in Elkhart.

She survives along with two sons, Richard D. (Delores) Estes of Charleston, W.Va., and James C. Estes of Elkhart; two grandchildren; one brother, Stephen Estes of South Bend; and his parents of Elkhart.

Mr. Estes worked at Creation Windows, Elkhart, for 30 years. He was a 1962 graduate of Elkhart High School and a huge Penn State fan. He enjoyed fishing and playing golf with his son.

There will be no visitation and a memorial service will be announced at a later date at Golden Living Center, Elkhart, where Richard lived for the past four years and his parents reside.
