Obituary
EDWARDSBURG — Richard P. Becker, 73, of Edwardsburg, MI, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 21 at Wood Ridge Assisted Living Community in South Bend.
He was born Aug. 2, 1943 in Elkhart to Floyd Becker and Virginia (Lockwood) Haase.
Survivors include a son, Lyle (Melinda) Becker of Niles, MI; a granddaughter, Melanie Becker of Niles and 2 grandsons, Ashton and Nathaniel Becker, both of Niles.
Richard proudly served in the United States Navy from 1963 until 1967 during the Vietnam War.
He was employed in the RV industry as a mechanic for several years prior to his retirement.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the 2 p.m. celebration of life service on Monday, Jan 2, 2017 at Elkhart Church of God, 28082 C.R. 4, Elkhart. Pastor Justin Moore will officiate. Inurnment will be held at Rice Cemetery at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Faith Mission, 801 Benham Ave., Elkhart, IN 46516.
Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin Street, Elkhart.
