Ricardo Aguilar, 13, of Elkhart, Indiana died Monday, August 22, 2011 as the result of a fire at his home. Ricardo was born in Aguascalientes, Mexico on February 7, 1998 to Jose G. and Marie Del Refugio (Ledesma) Aguilar.
Ricardo was in 8 grade at Northside Middle School, he was very friendly, outgoing and had a great sense of humor. He played soccer with the Elkhart Flames and the U14 97/98 Boys Dynamite Soccer team. He also was a member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church, and was a big Cubs fan.  Ricardo was very hard working, enjoyed music and playing with his x-box. Even at his age he was looking forward to attending college someday.
Surviving are his mother Maria Aguilar, sisters; Jasmine and Samantha, grandmother Dionicia Vasquez-De Aguilar and several aunts, uncles, cousins as well.
Friends may visit with the family on Monday, August 29, 2011 from 3-8 pm at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church 1108 S. Main St. Elkhart. A Mass of Christian will begin at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 also at the church. Father Glenn Kohrman will officiate. Cremation will follow.
Memorials may be given to any Chase Bank Branch for his mother Maria. Arrangements are under the direction of Billings Funeral Home.
