UNION, Mich — Rena A. Sailor, 91, of Union, passed away Thursday afternoon, June 16, at her home, with her daughter Debbie and son-in-law Chuck by her side.
Rena was born Feb. 25, 1925, in Elkhart, to Charles A. and Carrie A. (Ritchie) Haley.
She married Wilbur McDonald on Feb. 8, 1944, in Elkhart. He died Jan. 18, 1979. Rena then married Dale W. Sailor on July 4, 1987, in Union. Dale died July 9, 2010.
Surviving are her children, Robert McDonald, Sharon McDonald and Debbie (Chuck) Tom, all of Union, Ray (Penny) McDonald of Three Rivers, Laura Nevill of Dowagiac, Linda (Tom) Fager of Marcellus, Jim (Pam) McDonald of Union and John McDonald of Bristol; 15 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren, survive as well.
In addition to her parents and husbands, two daughters, Diane Gray, Karen Bell, a brother, Clarence Haley and sister Vena Brock preceded her in death.
Rena was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 19, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Funeral services for Rena will begin at 11 a.m. Monday, June 20, at Billings, with one hour visitation prior to the service. Pastor David Bell of Mottville Community Church will officiate. Burial and graveside services will follow at Plum Grove Cemetery, Union.
