Obituary
ELKHART -- Raymond L. "Ray" Scheetz, 64, of Elkhart, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2011, at his home.
Ray was born Nov. 29, 1946, in Elkhart, to Clarence Scheetz, who is deceased, and Belva "Bev" L. (Wagner) Cloud.
Surviving is a son, Ron Scheetz of Elkhart; three grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; mother Bev (Don) Cloud of Elkhart; two sisters, Pat (Art) Krop of Elkhart and Theresa (Jerry) Parker of Jones, Mich.; four brothers, Larry (Cheri) Scheetz and Roscoe (Jan) Scheetz, both of Goshen, and Roger (Sally) Scheetz and Chuck (Brenda) Alberts, both of Elkhart; and several nieces and nephews.
Ray formerly worked at Parkwood Mobile Homes, and spent most of his career in RV and housing manufacturing. He enjoyed being outdoors and doing outdoor activities with his family and friends. Ray was a member of the American Legion Post 143 Bristol and a lifetime member of the DAV Chapter 19 in Elkhart.
A gathering of family and friends to share memories and stories of Ray will be from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 21, 2011, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, with cremation will follow. All are then invited to a meal at the DAV Chapter 19 on Middleton Run Road.
