ELKHART — Raymond Cook Jr., 91, died Wednesday, July 15, at home.
He was born July 6, 1924, in South Bend, to the late Raymond Sr. and Genevieve Cook.
On Feb. 6, 1946, he married Bernice E. (Leyba) Cook in the Air Force Chapel in Colorado Spring, Colo.
Survivors include two daughters, Sandra (Numan) Amouri and Patricia Gene Cook of Elkhart; grandchildren Shawn Raymond and Tara Anne Kotoske; and great-grandchildren Bailey Patricia and Austin Michael Howell.
He was preceded in death by his wife and a son, Thomas A. Cook.
Ray served in the U.S. Air Force as an airplane mechanic. He worked at Studebaker Corp. and at Allied Products Corp. in the stamping division.
He was a member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church for many years.
Visitation will be for an hour prior to the 11 a.m. Monday, July 20, Mass of Christian Burial at St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church, 1331 N. Main St., Elkhart. Interment will follow in St. Joseph Memorial Park in Granger.
Arrangements are entrusted to Billings Funeral Home.
