He was born Sept. 20, 1915, in Mercer County, Ohio, to John J. and Frona (Dull) Miller. He married Hazel M. Roose on July 3, 1950, in Southwest.
She survives along with two sisters, Joanne Burt of Goshen and Beatrice Miller of Indianapolis; two brothers, Robert (Ruth) Miller of Cassopolis, Mich., and Don (Dee Anna) Miller of Goshen; two grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Jack L. Miller; three sisters, Mary Baer, Lavern Powell and Betty Hartzler; and four brothers, Bill, Merlin, Paul and Roland Miller.
Friends may call one hour before today's 11 a.m. funeral service at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. The Rev. John Drexler of First Brethren Church of Goshen will officiate. Entombment will be in Chapel of Hope Mausoleum in Rice Cemetery.
Mr. Miller was a 1934 graduate of Goshen High School. He was a World War II Army veteran who took part in the Anzio Beach Italian campaign. Mr. Miller retired from Miles in 1981, where he worked 28 years in the company's power plant. Previously he was employed at Chase Bag Factory in Goshen. He enjoyed auctions, sports, fishing and hunting.
