Randy Wade Acord, 66, passed away peacefully, Thursday morning October 3, 2024 at the Center for Hospice Care Esther's House. A native of Elkhart, Randy was born on May 6, 1958 to the late Carl E and Bernice (Bingaman) Acord. In addition to his parents, brother James Acord and sisters Mary Jean Hunt and Connie Sura preceded him in death.

Surviving is a son Randy "RJ" Wade Acord Jr (Michelle Stoddards); of Ft Meyers, FL.; two grandchildren Holly and Tyler; brothers, Steve Acord of Elkhart,  Dennis Garman of Bristol; three sisters, Jeri Bachtel, Pam (Brad) McIntire, Carla (Clyde) Riley, all of Elkhart and many nieces, nephews and friends who will miss him.

Randy was employed in the Recreational Vehicle Industry for years and was a former plant manager for Jayco. Randy loved his family and friends. He was an avid baseball and fast pitch softball player, Many thought he might go pro with his ability. He also loved fishing, playing golf, and watching his beloved Chicago Cubs and Kansas City Chiefs.

Per his wishes, cremation was chosen with private burial at a later date in Rice Cemetery. Arrangements are under the care of Billings Funeral Home, Elkhart.

A celebration of Life honoring Randy W. Acord will be from 1-4 pm on Sunday, October 13, 2024 at Bowly's Crystal Bar, 109 Freight St. Elkhart, IN 46514
