Randall Lee Bass, 66, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Tuesday, September 29, 2026 surrounded by his loved ones.
Randall was born in Charleston, WV on April 13, 1960 to the late Estel and Doris (Hartwell) Bass. He married the love of his life, Judy (Stouder) Bass on August 20, 1983.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Estel and Doris and brother, Michael Bass.
Randall is survived by his wife of 43 years, Judy Bass; sons, Eric (Heather) Bass and Scott (Erin) Bass; grandchildren, Sierra, Seleena, Karma, Gavin, Kendyle, Keyghan and Kaislee; great granddaughter, Skylynn; siblings, Steven Bass, Regina Marker, Barbara Powell and Diana Neel and many nieces and nephews.
Randall worked in the fiberglass industry for most of his life, working at 20th Century, Covermaster and Millennium before retiring in 2005.
In his spare time, Randall enjoyed woodworking and cheering on his favorite football team, the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Randall was well known around town for getting around on his mobility scooter, occasionally creating a little traffic wherever he went. He enjoyed cruising around town and taking his grandchildren along for the ride in a custom-made wagon.
A natural jokester, Randall always had a way of bringing humor to even the most difficult situations. He was a caring and generous man, especially when it came to his family, who meant so much to him. He will be remembered for his sense of humor, kind heart and the many memories he created with those he loved.
There will be a visitation from 10:00am to 11:00am on Thursday, October 8, 2026 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, IN 46514.
A graveside service will follow after the visitation at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens and Cemetery, 10776 McKinley Hwy, Osceola, IN 46561 with friend and pastor Adam Evans officiating.
