Obituary
ELKHART — Ralph Z. Ward, 81, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully in his home at 12:47 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6, following an extended illness.
He was born in Elkhart on July 13, 1934, to the late Wilbert and Bernice (Stout) Ward.
He married Joan L. Morse on Dec. 12, 1954, in Elkhart. She survives him at home.
He is also survived by his daughters, Pamela (Michael) Levesque of Palm Harbor, Fla., and Jennifer (Michael) Thornton of Stratham, N.H.; grandchildren Austin Levesque and Tanner and Abigail Thornton; and granddogs Duke Thornton and Apollo Levesque.
Preceding Ralph in death were his son, Gary L. Ward, who passed away in 1989; and brothers William S. and Jack F. Ward.
In accordance with his wishes, there will be a private graveside service in Rice Cemetery in Elkhart.
Arrangements have been placed under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
