ELKHART - Ralph Van "Mayor Wolfman" Eaton, passed away Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at his residence, He was 64. Ralph was born on April 30, 1952 in Elkhart to William Eaton and Alice E. (Sapen) Eaton.
Surviving is a brother Michael (Barbara) Eaton of Elkhart, sister Vicky (Douglas) Reafsnyder of Molalla, Ore.; also 4 nephews, 3 nieces and 5 great nieces and 3 great nephews, survive as well. Ralph was preceded in death by his mother and father, brother Jimmy McDaniels and sister Janice Klitz.
Ralph could be seen walking all around downtown Elkhart; he was very friendly, sociable and thrifty. He also enjoyed talking on his CB radio, with his handle being "Mayor Wolfman". Ralph attended Concord Schools and formerly worked for a time at G.L. Perry Variety Store.
Friends may call from 2 until 4 p.m. Friday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. where a celebration and remembrance service will begin at 4:00 pm. Jim Bontrager, Chaplain with the EPD will officiate. Cremation was chosen, with burial at a later date in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
