Phyllis A. Viers, 68, of Elkhart, passed away Sunday, Jan. 24, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born March 7, 1947, in Jeffersonville, to Charles R. and Mary K. (Doss) Sorg.
Survivors include her husband, Gail C. Viers of Elkhart; four sons, Michael (Kimberly) King of Elkhart, Jeff Boyer of Kentucky, Duane (Kim) Viers of Elkhart and John (Claudia) Viers of Granger; one daughter, Tammy (Brian) Faubion of New Paris; two sisters, Vicki (Greg) King of Goshen and Betty (Wendy) Baker of Elkhart; two brothers, Daniel (Rose) Sorg of Tennessee and Michael (Carla) Sorg of Goshen; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two children, Michael and Michelle King.
The family will receive friends from 2 until 5 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 31, and for one hour prior to the 1 p.m. funeral service on Monday, Feb. 1, at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. Pastor Ray Caudill will officiate. Interment will follow in Prairie Street Cemetery.
