GOSHEN — Phyllis I. Hartley, 82, of Goshen, and formerly of Middlebury, passed away Saturday, Feb. 13, at Greencroft Healthcare.
She was born July 31, 1933, to the late Charles O. and Nellie (Hawkins) House.
She married Glen M. Hartley. He died in 1973.
Surviving are her son, Dean A. Hartley and wife Laurie of Darlington; and her granddaughters, Annalise Hartley of Tyler, Texas, and Alissa Hartley of Lebanon; as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Glen, and three brothers and four sisters.
A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 20, at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 417 W. Monroe St., Goshen. The Rev. Tony Steinacker will officiate. Friends may visit with the family beginning at 9 a.m. at the church. Cremation will follow.
Memorials may be directed to Humane Society of Elkhart County or to the church.
