BRISTOL -- Phillip J. Flamion, 46, of 503 Elkhart St., died Monday (May 21, 2007) as the result of a truck/bicycle hit and run crash at C.R. 14 and C.R. 17.

He was born Aug. 26, 1960, in Elkhart to Gayle and Phyllis (Edsall) Flamion.

He is survived by one son, Phillip J. Flamion II of Granger; two daughters, Angela Flamion of Elkhart and Alexandra Flamion of Glendale, Ariz.; two brothers, John and James Flamion, both of Elkhart; two sisters, Gayle Windsor of Elkhart and Sue (Dan) Yamtich of Fair Oaks; and his parents, of Elkhart.

Also surviving is the mother of his children, Constance Flamion of Glendale.

Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the 10 a.m. Friday funeral service, all at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. The Rev. Bill Sullivan of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Church will officiate. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Bristol.

Mr. Flamion was employed at Godfrey Marine for the past year and was formerly employed by the U.S. Postal Service in Elkhart. He was a 1978 graduate of Marian High School in Mishawaka, enjoyed fishing and was a fan of the Detroit Tigers and Lions. He enjoyed watching his favorite NASCAR driver, Mark Martin.
