IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Philip "Troy"
Marshall
August 12, 1961 – August 24, 2024
Philip Troy Marshall, affectionately known as "Troy", joined Heaven's Orchestra on August 24, 2024, at the age of 63, passing quietly in his sleep. Born on August 12, 1961, in Huntington, Indiana, he was the beloved son of Philip C. and Connie S. (Hunt) Marshall, who survive Troy in Huntington, Indiana. At the time of his passing, he resided in Elkhart, Indiana.
Troy's professional life was marked by his dedication and expertise as an accountant at Skyline Corp, where he worked until his retirement. His meticulous attention to detail and deep understanding of financial matters earned him respect and admiration. Troy was a proud graduate of Huntington High School and went on to earn his degree from Saint Francis University, where his intellectual curiosity and sharp mind were evident.
Beyond his professional achievements, Troy was known for his exceptional intelligence and problem-solving skills. He approached challenges with a thoughtful and analytical mindset, whether they were related to his career, his hobbies, or his personal life. His capacity for understanding complex concepts and his enthusiasm for learning were inspiring to those around him.
Troy was also a thrill-seeker at heart, known for his insatiable love of adrenaline and adventure. He lived life to the fullest, always pushing the limits with his passions for skydiving, water sports, and roller coasters. Cedar Point was his favorite playground, where he felt truly alive as he soared through the air on its world-famous rides. Equally at home in nature, Troy loved being on the water, whether he was skiing, tubing, or simply enjoying a peaceful day by the lake. His daring spirit and love for the outdoors were infectious, inspiring everyone around him to embrace the excitement of every moment. Troy's zest for life will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who shared in his exhilarating journey.
Troy's life was a testament to his deep love for music, and his kindness towards those around him. He touched countless lives with his talent and passion. His ability to create and share music was a source of joy and inspiration for his family and friends. His generous spirit extended beyond his music, as he forged enduring friendships, and was always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. We take comfort in the thought that Troy has now joined Heaven's Orchestra, adding his unique melodies to the divine symphony.
Along with his parents, Troy is survived by his siblings Denise (Jon) Town of Fishers, Indiana, Julie Kopetsky of Cary, North Carolina and Brent Marshall of Huntington. Troy's legacy also lives on through his children Katie (Adam) Yeiter of Huntington, Jason D. (Jessica) Hughes of Poplar Grove, Illinois, Jennifer (Kyle) LeCount of Auburn, Indiana and Celeste Marshall of Huntertown, Indiana. He was also a cherished grandfather to Rylie, Finley, Nicole, Lexy, and Andrew, and a loving great-grandfather to Wyatt, Carter, Theodore, and Greyson.
Troy will be deeply missed by all who knew him. His spirit will forever harmonize with the melodies of our hearts, and his memory will continue to inspire and uplift us.
