Entombment will follow at Rice Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to Caring Cove Hospice, 3120 N. Home Street, Mishawaka, IN 46545 or https://caringcovehospice.com/index.php/donations/. The family would like to thank Caring Cove Hospice for their loving support of Peggy and those who loved her.

Peggy was a loving, kind, and outgoing woman who was cherished by all who knew her. She graduated from Elkhart High School in the class of 1960 and married her high school sweetheart, Kenneth Twa, on April 28, 1962. Peggy worked for Klem Supply for nearly 30 years before retiring from Tepe Sanitary Supply, where she worked for 22 years. She was a devout member of Trinity United Methodist Church (also known as Trinity on Jackson) and played in the church’s handbell choir for 40 years. Music was a big part of Peggy’s life; she played bells in the Jubilee Ringers and was a clarinet player in Elkhart’s Municipal Band for over 40 years.

“Perfect Peggy,” as she was lovingly known by her friends, was very social and faithful to her friends and family. She recently attended her 65th class reunion alongside many of her classmates, many of whom she would eat lunch with every month. She also continued to attend monthly breakfasts of Kenneth’s classmates. Every Wednesday she’d gather with her “lunch bunch,” another special group of dear friends. She enjoyed going to trivia with her friends and regularly joined “her boys” at The Deli in Elkhart on Thursday mornings for conversation and company.

Peggy was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. She was a gracious hostess of family gatherings on special occasions and holidays. While she never prepared a turkey, a fact that she was quite proud of, she made the best macaroni and cheese and lettuce salad you ever tasted. In her spare time Peggy enjoyed knitting, cross stitching, and crocheting. Spending time with her family meant the world to her. She and Kenny enjoyed traveling; their many adventures included going on cruises, traveling to Florida, Arizona, and Arkansas, and visiting historic landmarks. Peggy was always someone you could count on for anything. Words cannot express how much Peggy will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
