Obituary

Peggy D. Hollar, 86, formerly of Bristol, IN, was called home to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 25, 2026, at Creekside Village in Mishawaka, IN. She was born in Osceola, IN on May 15, 1940, to the late LeRoy “Peg” Grove and Delores (Myers) Troup.

Peggy was also preceded in death by her daughter, Kim French; stepson, Keven S. Hollar; and sisters, Betty Moffett, Violet Newsom, Jackie Proctor, and Sandy West. She is survived by her husband of 30 years, G. DeVon Hollar; son, Jonathan Kassay; 4 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; brothers, Phillip (Phyllis) Grove, Charles (Mary) Grove, and Joel (Reba) Grove; and sister-in-law, Judy (Phil) Funkhouser.

In accordance with Peggy’s wishes, cremation was chosen and will take place at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. in Elkhart.

Peggy was the perfect wife and mother who had never met a stranger. She graduated from Mishawaka High School and later went on to be a floating secretary for various local businesses throughout the years. Peggy grew up with DeVon and over the years they found one another and were later married in Cassopolis, MI on August 14, 1996. Together they enjoyed camping in Michigan where they rode dirt bikes and enjoyed 4-wheeling.

Peggy could play a mean game of Euchre and enjoyed playing Bingo at the nursing home. In her early years, she bowled on several local bowling leagues alongside her sister-in-law, Mary. Peggy was a member of the Brethren Church for many years and continued to attend church as often as she could alongside DeVon. She will be dearly missed by her loving family and many friends but never forgotten.
