She was born Jan. 17, 1913, in Starke County to Lewis H. and Printha E. (Kindig) Feece. She married Fred C. Hager. He died in 1979 after 40 years of marriage. She then married Howard H. Ervin on Feb. 23, 1982, in Sebring, Fla. He died in 1999.
She is survived by one daughter, Mary J. (Charles) Miller of Elkhart; three grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two sisters, Julie Six and Ethel Hinchey; and two brothers, Archie and Clifford Feece.
Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Fuenral services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with Pastor Raymond P. Laborde of McCoy Memorial Baptist Church officiating. Burial will be in Rice Cemetery.
Mrs. Ervin worked at Miles Laboratories for more than 19 years before retiring in 1969. A nature lover, she often camped, fished and picnicked with her family in her younger years.
She was a member of the McCoy Memorial Baptist Church. She liked Christian music and the music of Tennessee Ernie Ford. She also liked watching the television show "Matlock."
