GOSHEN — Pauline J. Rose, 88, of Goshen, passed away Thursday, Sept. 29 at IU Health Goshen.
Pauline was born on April 13, 1928 in Ligonier to the late Harry L. and Zulla M. (Stiver) Fahl. She graduated in 1946 from Ligonier High School and then graduated in 1947 from Fort Wayne Beauty School.
She married her high school sweetheart Richard D. "Dick" Rose on June 13, 1948 in Ligonier. Dick passed away on April 7, 2014.
Surviving are her children, Jim "JR" Rose of Goshen and Teresa A. Mabie of Elkhart. Pauline was preceded in death by her son-in-law Cheyenne Mabie, who died March 28, 2012.
Pauline was a Real Estate Broker and worked with her late husband at Nymeyer & Rose Realty Co. Her husband Dick had the first Arby's Roast Beef franchises in the area and Pauline helped out there with bookkeeping.
She loved to eat out, enjoyed traveling, camping, playing cards and computer games and was an avid Chicago Cubs and Notre Dame Football fan.
Graveside services will begin at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, October 5, 2016 at Brown Cemetery, Millersburg.
Pauline's family kindly asks that memorial contributions be given to the Wounded Warrior Project. Arrangements are under the care and direction of Billings Funeral Home of Elkhart.
