ELKHART — Pauline Fern (McClane) Lyons, 93, of Elkhart, passed away Saturday evening, Dec. 17, 2011, at Elkhart General Hospital.
She was born Nov. 28, 1918, in Elkhart County to the late Orville and Bessie Canen.
Surviving are daughters Phyllis (Danny) Kinard and Sharon (Bob) Parish of Elkhart; sons Larry McClane of Elkhart and Frank McClane of Hollywood, Calif.; 22 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; sisters Joyce (Vern) Parks of Illinois and Nyla (Paul) Franklin of Elkhart; and brother Gerald Canen of Elkhart.
Preceding her in death were her husbands, Joseph E. McClane and Chester Lyons; daughters Linda L. Bergerson and Judith A. McClane; her son, Joseph E. McClane Jr.; and grandchildren Brenda Chipps and Pam Grove; and great-great-granddaughter Alexis Miller.
Pauline formerly worked at CTS, Bristol Products and was a nanny for many years. She was raised in the Nazarene faith, enjoyed reading her Bible, doing crossword puzzles and spending time with all her grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Billings Funeral Home. Funeral services for Pauline will be 1 p.m. Friday with calling one hour prior at Elkhart Church of God, 28082 C.R. 4, Elkhart. Pastor B. J. Bishop will officiate with burial following at Prairie Street Cemetery.
