ELKHART — Paula Jean Williams, 64, of Elkhart, passed away on Monday, Feb. 27, 2012, at the Elkhart Hospice House after a battle with cancer. She was born on Dec. 26, 1947, in Milwaukee, to Chencho and Juana (Lopez) Rodriguez.
She married John D. Williams on Jan. 6, 1967, in Elizabeth City, N.C. He survives, as well as a son John, daughter Vickie, four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren; as well as sisters, Valerie and Pat, and her mother, Juana Rodriguez. She was preceded in death by her father, Chencho Rodriguez. Paula formerly worked at E.S.I. Meats in Bristol, JCPenney, Belvedere and Actia Corp. in Elkhart.
She was a volunteer with Ribbon of Hope and was a member of the Gyna-Girls, a cancer support group. Paula was a wonderful wife, mother and loved to spoil her grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
Please join with her family on Wednesday, Feb. 29, 2012, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A service to celebrate her life will begin at 7 p.m. Pastor David Bell of Mottville Community Church will officiate. Cremation will follow the service.
