He was born Dec. 27, 1935, in South Bend to Ernest and Verl (Gonsorowski) Tulley. He married Shirley Ann Bails on Nov. 21, 1964, in Elkhart.

She survives with one son, Mike (Niki) Tulley of Constantine; five daughters, Cindy Young and Suzanne (Jim) May, both of Grand Rapids, Kathy Tulley of Washington, Chris (Joe) Staccy of Constantine and Kim (Jeff) Spencer of Centreville; 11 grandchildren; and one sister, Evelyn Grogg of Elkhart.

He was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Tulley; and two sisters, Margaret Emge and Virginia Bard.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart, where a parish rosary service also will be held at 7:30 p.m. A burial Mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church, 411 W. Vistula, Bristol, Ind., with burial and graveside services to follow at St. Vincent Cemetery in Elkhart.

Mr. Tulley retired from K & F Manufacturing in Granger, Ind., in 2000. A 1953 Elkhart High School graduate, he formerly worked for Henry Weiss Manufacturing and was an active member of St. Mary of the Annunciation Catholic Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and being outdoors, where he liked hunting, fishing, biking and kayaking.
