Mr. Paul L. "Midge' DeMeyer, 79, of Elkhart, passed away peacefully of natural causes at Valley View Healthcare Center in Elkhart on Tuesday, Feb. 25, 2020 at 12:43 pm.  He was born August 14, 1940 in Elkhart to the late Gerald R. and Katherine (Deal) DeMeyer.

He is survived by his sisters, Carol Johnson, JoAnn Willis, Sylvia Lott and Jermaine Gogler and a brother, Jerome "Jerry" (Carol) DeMeyer; as well as a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family and friends. His twin brother Peter and brother Richard both precede Midge in death, as well as sister Emeline Goss.

St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church, 1108 S. Main St. Elkhart will host Midge's Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, Mar. 2, 2020 at 1:00 pm, with visitation starting there at 11 am. Fr. Matthew Coonan will officiate and burial will follow at St. Vincent's Cemetery in Elkhart. Billings Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Elkhart are assisting with arrangements.

Midge worked at the Kent Company in Elkhart for many years, retiring in 2002. He was a proud member of the Elkhart IARA, a devoted member of the St. Vincent parish and a die-hard fan of the Fighting Irish of Notre Dame. His best times were spent with family and friends down at the IARA or at Michael's Restaurant of Elkhart.
