ELKHART -- Paul Edward "Ed" Dunfee Jr., 59, of Elkhart, died at 10:18 a.m. Friday (July 16, 2010) after an extended illness.


He was born Nov. 23, 1950, in Elkhart to Paul E. Sr. and Marilyn L. (Fedell) Dunfee. On June 13, 1991, in Elkhart, he married Amy K. Russell Marks.


She survives, along with two daughters, Wanda Webb of Fort Myers, Fla., and Wendy (Vincent) Severino of Raleigh, N.C.; stepson Michael (Amy) Marks of Irvine, Calif.; stepdaughter Lyndell (Vincent) Bonney of Elkhart; 10 grandchildren; brother Frederick (Sally) Dunfee Sr. of Elkhart; and sister Deborah Hawkins of Elkhart.


Mr. Dunfee was a tool and die maker for nearly 21 years at the former Arrow Tool and Die of Elkhart, now Kobelco Compressors of America. He previously worked for the Elkhart Cemetery Department. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.


Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. today (July 20, 2010) at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St., Elkhart. A 1 p.m. Wednesday funeral procession will begin at the funeral home, with a 2 p.m. graveside service in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart. Military graveside honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army Funeral Honor Guard and Elkhart DAV Chapter 19.


Memorials may be given to the Second Chance Small Dog Rescue, 821 E. Lusher Ave., Elkhart.
