Paul Eugene Banks, 62, residing in Elkhart, passed away Wednesday, November 3, 2021 at the Center for Hospice Care, Raclin House in Mishawaka, following injuries from an automobile accident that happened on Prairie Street in Elkhart on October 22, 2021.

Paul was born in Elkhart on April 3, 1959 to the late Donald L. and Dolores M (Reed) Mabry. Paul was a 1978 graduate of Elkhart Central High School. He was working for Towne Fire & Water Damage Restoration, doing construction and remodeling homes.

Paul is survived by his son and best friend Joshua (Holly) Banks; four beautiful granddaughters, whom he adored, Cassidy, Cheyenne, Carrington, and Carleigh; brothers, John A. (Reenet) Banks, Randy L. (Dominique) Mabry, Mike L. Mabry, Matthew M. (Cathy) Mabry and sisters Cynthia R (Mike) Johansen, Norma J. (Bernie) Kretschmer and Rita M. (Doug) Andresen; he has a host of nieces, nephews, and friends, who will miss Paul as well.

In addition to his parents, a brother David B. Mabry and nephews Justin R. Mabry and Joseph N. Banks preceded Paul in death.

Paul was a very well loved and respected man by everyone he met. He enjoyed golfing, bowling with his son Josh in a league at Signature Lanes, and riding his Harley Davidson, which he just recently purchased. Paul's true love was construction work. He never met a person he wouldn't help. Always being everyone's handyman, there was nothing he couldn't repair. He also liked to tinker around with small engine and car repairs in his spare time. Paul loved music and had an extensive album collection. He will be truly and greatly missed.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 4-7 p.m. Monday, November 8, 2021 at Billings Funeral Home, 812 Baldwin St. Elkhart. At 7:00 p.m. Pastor Gary Sheets, will have a short remembrance service to honor Paul's life. Cremation has been chosen after services. Paul's family kindly request memorial donations to the Center for Hospice Care, for the care and kindness given to Paul during his stay at Raclin House.
